Good Friday

Very comfortable night. Drove around the island to all sorts of little places. Reminds me of Guernsey where a road that looks like a major road is no more than a little lane often wandering through a few houses. Luckily everyone road is named so a map gets you to where you want to be of just end up.
Much of the dune area on the North Sea and on the Weddell sea is a national park or indeed the latter is a world heritage site.
So visited Ecomare where abandoned seals are taken in until ready to be released.
From there I found the bunker that is left over from the war

And the view the soldiers would have had.
Livestock consists of hardy cattle and the famous Texel sheep. The cattle graze on the dunes to keep them open but of course not many flowers out yet.

Some more buildings.
The church spire of Den Hoorn can be seen from miles away. Plenty of water birds especially geese.
Worse than รค German and his towel by the pool is a German with a Tesla in the car park.
Having a surprise taster meal of tiny courses each more exciting than the last.
Here are a few pics.
Bread made in the mill across the road of local flour.
I should grow microherbs we already have edible flowers.

And this tiny thing is a little cloth the size of 5p which you pop in the drop of water and can wipe your hands.
There are very strict rules about coming to live here a bit like the Channel Islands to prevent it being taken over by second homers.
I stopped somewhere while reading a map when a German couple in a large Merc stopped and came over to ask where I had got me nice car. Seems they don't have this model of Merc there except of course that it is 9 years old. They were then amazed that I was driving on my own. Later then had my Swatch watch admired. So feeling quite on trend.
Pity about the clothes!

There is no plastic.
Linen or a sort of bamboo napkins and little dishes of made of leaves. Very little rubbish around too.
