It has rained pretty much all day so instead of painting I did a trip around Leiden all the villages to the east and found a lovely lake called Basssemeer with houses along the canals and lovely gardens.

Then had a vegetarian Michelin meal I had booked which took 3 hours

 Amazing what a good chef can do with a kohlrabi and a celeriac. They only cook what they grow so you would think the meal would be boring but not at all.

Then desperate to get my phone charged switched off until I found a charge point at the hotel reception so hooked into that.

This evening took in another film

 Old fashioned art house little cinema. Up winding stairs to see The Promised  Land.  Turns out it is in Danish with Dutch subtitles. And an interval. So left then and having a risotto at the Olive Garden across the road. Enough eating out but all healthy and zero sugar or meat.
