 Saw this on my way to Fairford - the back way to the children's secondary school called Leafield Road. A giant Obelisk just standing in a field.

Apparently it was once a feature of Fairford Park now gone. Couldn't see any way to get to it. 

There was also once a Polish refugee camp in the bushes beyond.

Anyway I had no sooner gone past than I got a phone call asking me to fetch Oti who had hurt his knee at school.

Monte Casino, site of a famous battle in the war. Looks pretty peaceful now.

Also had a big haircut today.

It is the Budget today - talking of reducing NI which doesn't help anyone on a pension. I'm not complaining but anyone who has only a basic pension might. Main thing is that the tax thresholds don't change so more and more people pay more and more tax.

Looks scarily like Trump will be the next President - thank goodness at least that in the States no one can be president for more than 2 terms but 2 terms for him is two many.
