10th March — Mothers Day

One day in the year when I really don't have to do anything. Had a brunch next door. The children did the menu and Rob the cooking. The kids also did the waiting and made the coffee. Then I went for a walk to find this plaque on the road to Fairford and wandered down the paved road with its electric fencing each side. It belongs to the Ernest Cook Trust. Lovely old trees but very grey skies.

In the 6 Nations yesterday Italy had an historic win against Scotland but Ireland though winning the contest will not win the Slam as England had a drop goal in the last minute to end the score 23:22 up.
