Very comfortable night in fact nearly overslept. Am amazingly first in line to board as all the caravans have additional checks made.
Had a vegan breakfast but won't have vegan sausages again.
Quite chilly on board.
When I lived in cape town dad liked to go down to the docks and sometimes I took Robert and Lisa. We liked to see all the different cargoes and think about where they had come from or were going. There were grains and ores from the hinterland and crates and boxes allsrked with their contents.
Now sitting on a ferry in the British channel moving into the north sea all I have seen are huge container ships and there is no way of knowing what is inside could be fridges or mastic toys or even people.
The sea is full of them in one of the busiest bits of sea anywhere asvwe approach Rotterdsm. The ships also have to dodge the eindgatms
Perhaps dodge is a bit of an exaggeration
Imagine them slaloming around these giant structures.
Waze got me to the hotel and then when I was nearly lost to the car park as it was getting dark.a roundabout way but only 5 minutes walk.
Tiny room but adequate and clean.
Lots of electronic gadgets for getting in and out .
