At Marlborough Summer School I have been doing a silversmithing course. 
Here are what I made and also part of the workbench.

I borrowed Oti's French knitting for one pendant. 
Then on Sunday it was a fun cricket day in aid of the school.
Beautiful day in between days of cloud and rain.
Heath is catching up on Rob in height.
Feelie ran like the wind in the outfield while Oti is near in the dark green.
Heath suddenly spotted a hedgehog sneaking into the long grass.
There are also many moles which we only see from their hills which appear more and more every day.

A lot of fuss is made of the hottest day considering we have had the wettest year so far.
Today a worldwide outage on Windows caused disruption to planes. NHS and banks all using Windows.

Saw this lovely field of linseed then noticed the dark sky above. Our summer.
Had to cancel trip to London which was also to go to a prom due to toothache. Dentist of 48 years couldn't treat it for two weeks so have had to change to the Forbes one in Cirencester, another broken link with Witney. 
Alex is 12. He won the Geography prize and I gave him an electronic chess set.
Effie is a very able hoverboarder.

 Month started off with warm weather and a thunderstorm by the 2nd. Ophelia had to make a themed bake so this is her Jonah and the whale - with a bit of help. I took the books up to the kids school - five for each class. Felt like a nice thing to do. Have painted some quite different pictures. Also taken one French one to be expensively framed and chap said it might sell. Jen was 80 so good party held in the Forbes pub in Ham. Horrific happenings between Israel and Hamas and the poor people in Gaza have been besieged.  Poor in every way.  This is some sort of genocide when the PM of Israel calls the Gaza people beasts. They live in a ghetto . Terrible terrible things going on from massacres to hostages. Ukraine has dropped off the news. At least we can watch the rugby world cup. Quarter finals coming up. Moving on to Hamburg.

Had a really odd bed. Very high but each time I got on or off the slippy mattress nearly slipped off so had some tricky moves to make. However the sunset from my high window was great. Off I have been wondering about the meaning of Peace. It seems to mean the lack of violence, etc. That implies a time without something as if anyone negative.,  Yet peace is surely a positive state not a period between two periods of turmoil. Of course when I now look it up there is lots online and a Peace Academy with all this. Can I ever have an original thought,? All through this trip I have noticed people just going about their lives doing normal things like weeding or fixing a car or mowing the lawn. Families pushing children on a swing or digging in the sand. Could be anywhere. Sometimes I see a woman walking and she seems just like one I saw in a previous town. Just a woman in a coat walking. Is it the same person I saw in Harwich or Delft or a village I passed through  near Oldehove? We ar

Getting up a 2.30 for early flight to Farasan Island convinces me that I will never go on a tour again. It is all too relentless. No time just to relax. After getting back on our bus we made our way to Jazan for breakfast then with hundreds of black clad women and children we boarded the ferry. Three sections. Men. Women and families. Of course the men boarded first  Late night shopping. Not much here on the island. Even our hotel is still under construction.
