Enormous breakfast on offer but I just stick to normal yogurt and fruit and water. My stomach doesn't know that I'm away.
Back and knees suffering from all that walking so going to take the ferry today to the Asian side and a stick in my bag just in case.
Pharmacist said no ibuprofen or paracetamol and gave me something else which worked like magic and 5 hours later no pain after lots of walks, its called Ketavel, he was going on about magnesium and something else but all in Turkish. Looked it up and it is similar to ibuprofen maybe stronger?
Started off taking ferry to Uskudor.
Then I sat on a bench on the promenade, met a woman who happened to speak English and we went for a coffee. She told me never to show my money. As the total lira I have is about £3 it wont really matter.
Took a metrobus along the coast to the military barracks and a university then back to a recommended cafe Kanaat Lakantasi for lunch.
The metrobus was about 50p and stopped whenever somone wanted a lift it seemed. One woman got on with a bulk bag full of secondhand clothes. She couldnt move it on her own.
Caught the wrong ferry back to Korakoy which turned out well as I then walked over the Galata Bridge.
The fishing along the bridge, see the neat little wooden thing they lean their rods on, what they catch and one little one just caught.
Now for a hot stone massage for my back but because of the magic pills doesnt seem necessary. Then stupidly went straight up to the rooftop to paint all my sketches, ordered a taco and immediatly felt nauseas, my fault, i should have remembered in Groningen the same thing. Massages kind of need you to rest afterwards, not climb stairs and eat. So now lying down for half an hour then have my taco.
Yes the chocolates get replenished every evening. At lunch i thought Id have one of the pastries but so sweet had to leave it. Peoples sugar levels must be sky high as the shops ard full of excessively sweet food.
Seeing as how I started today with food I end today with my supper, two shrimp tacos, very spicey and small, one satsuma from breakfast, mint tea and a chocolate. Feel very good.
