Rest of September

Spent the night at Leander for the Oriel crew reunion and this was the view at breakfast.
I heard how important Roger had been to the college's  rowing club, that without his inspiration they don't believe they would have achieved the successes they did and went on to do. Nice words.
Lisa sent me this picture of her getting dolled  up and wearing the necklace I got in Dresden and gave to Darcey.
55 years old. Amazing. I think this picture has been squeezed a bit.
Also going through old posts I found some odd predictive words. Duolingo had been turned into Dublin go. When I once again download the whole lot there will be plenty of editing to do.
Almost fruitless trip to London.
After three hours to get to Marble Arch I walked to the Wallace Collection.
Lovely old building and the Grayson Perry exhibition.
His main colours throughout are shades of red and green. Notice the charities on this tapestry. How charities are funded in the main by the rich. Then the arts are supported too by them so then art has to conform to what the rich want. He wrote a good book on the subject.
After 15 minutes I left and wandered back to 8Oxford Street to find the Swatch shop for a couple of new straps.
St Christopher's Place all decked out.
Passed the Mandeville Hotel where Ma and Dad used to stay years ago.
Took a twenty pound taxi to the V&A passing places I had only seen on a jigsaw.
Then waiting outside the museum for Robert who didn't come I noticed this remnant of a previous era.
The reason we are now such a multicultural country and why English travelled the world, it's come back to bite us.
Trump has returned after his ridiculous state visit. What a spectacle. He was polite until he told Starmer to use the military to stop the illegal migration. What would he do? Sink the boats? Then as soon as he was on his plane he could sound off.
This tree has undergone further pruning.
