Did 13000 steps today and never again.
Then walking through the old town ended up looking at the Palace of the Parliament. We didn't go in as you have to book 24 hours ahead and we hadn't.
None of this is old. The earthquake of 1977 brought down much of Bucharest's buildings.
This is a picture of me trying to work out where we were after a very long boring walk around the Palace land. So I just sat on the step of this parked tour bus to read my phone in the shade.
No rain but started off trying to unravel my wet bus ticket.

This was an Orthodox church where we could not take photos. Very very ornate with every surface covered in paintings of saints.

Golden domes as we walk out to find our Romanian supper. You can get a really good meal with drinks for 100 lei which is about £15.
Our hotel right in the best location for the old town cost £100 each for two nights including breakfast.
