Saw this tree at Farmors School, look at the trunk. And here is a picture from about 1959 when the cast of Caesar and Cleopatra met with a professional cast. How many of my class can I recognise? Lovely view across from Conegar Road. Today 10th would be my and Roger's wedding anniversary and 12th is Rob and Helens 13th. I made shortbread and we all had strawberries and homemade ice cream and elderflower for tea under the willow while thunder rumbled far in the distance.

Helen paid for the girls and I to go out for a hearty breakfast which we did at the kitchen at Lakes by Yoo costing £100 - ridiculous. Then we came back to cook and we hung another wall. Bank Holiday Monday and Lisa, Darcey and Alex came with Tom and Renee and Julie brought Jane. Lisa trying to escape. The boys are growing up fast.

After hanging a few more pictures Sheila arrived with Guy. They had a walk then she and I finalised plans for Romania and went to join the School Dad Scullers and the Coln party. Good times had by all. Heard from Maeve who with her husband Dave will come to visit for lunch at the end of June. Haven't seen her since 1965, except we once met by chance at Jhb airport on our way to Australia in 1981.
