Started the day with a smile as it is Tshirt weather. My host didn't stop talking all through breakfast about his sawmill and all the different woods and saws while his wife brought me a home made breakfast
This the view from the deserted golf course look at the lovely streak of blue sky and lichen covered trees.
After walking around Lunenburg with its brightly coloured houses. Famous for the three churches which I managed to photograph from the road when no cars coming.
There are no tourists which also means most places are shut. There are thousands of stairs and not great accessibility for those who need it.
Back in Lunenburg which made its name because of the fishing.
Supper of haddock and an enormous salad at about 5 when many people were already finished. Reminded me of Oak Ridge where everyone had supper about 5. What do people do afterwards? Especially in winter.
I did overhear some people talking about lay offs as a result of Trumps tariffs. Some are ridiculous like for the Falklands which are about 40 percent. They send huge amounts of fish to America but there are so few people there how on earth could they import a similar amount of goods from the US. Quite possibly the guys who worked it all out had no idea about the Falklands anyway and just worked on comparable imports/exports with no consideration of other factors such as population.
A similar situation arises with Lesotho which really doesn't need big cars or Hershey bars.
